The Self Registration feature allows new users to add themselves to your platform. They can be automatically added or you can set up a registration approval process.
For more information on how to configure self-registration in your platform, please review the Self-Registration configuration article.
Self-Registration Steps
| 1Click Register | The user comes to the site and clicks on Register. |
| 2Complete the form | A new page loads where the user inputs their information. The registration form can include basic requirements like first name, last name, and email:
|
| 3Confirmation page | Once completed, the page reloads to advise the user of their new self-registration. |
| 4Email verification | The user receives an email alert where they can verify their request. |
| 5Account verified | Once they click the link from the email, they will be verified in the system. |
| 6Welcome email | The user will receive a Welcome email (if they use IntelligenceBank login credentials) containing a link to set their password and access the site. |
Self-Registration Approval Process (if configured)
Note: The approval notification is sent to nominated approver(s) after the user has verified their email address (Step 5 above). If the user does not verify their email first, the approval workflow is not triggered. If multiple approvers are nominated, all will receive the notification — but only one response is required to grant or deny the request.
| 1Approver notification | The nominated approver(s) receive an email alert. They can click the link to log into the platform and review the pending registration request. |
| 2View Pending Users | Select View Pending Users from the email alert. This takes you to Admin > Users > Pending Users, where you can see all users currently awaiting approval. |
| 3Approve or Decline | Select Approve to grant the user access to the platform. A Welcome email will be sent to the user so they can set their password (note: the Welcome email is only sent for users enabled with IntelligenceBank login credentials). Select Decline to deny access and reject the self-registration request. Note that users are not notified when their request is declined. |
User Management: At any time you can manage self-registered users in your Admin > Users panel.
